Well this month is flying by. As we we race into mid December we are reminded that we should probably have made our New Years Eve reservations already. Nothing like a little bit of rolling the dice in the most beautiful spot to spend the Holidays. We try to cover the whole Valley, but it looks like Palm Springs is where it’s all going down this weekend. See you out there!

The Walk of the Inns is a unique cultural artifact of Palm Springs. Unlike standard house tours, this self-guided walking event opens the gates of the city's historic boutique hotels and inns to the general public. These properties, often hidden behind high hedges and walls to ensure guest privacy, are architectural jewels ranging from Spanish Colonial Revival to pristine Mid-Century Modernism.

For locals, this event offers a rare glimpse into the "secret gardens" of their own city. Participating inns typically go to great lengths to welcome the community, offering complimentary holiday treats, live acoustic music in courtyards, and elaborate light displays. Literature lovers, take note. The Rancho Mirage Library will transform into a massive "book neighborhood" this Saturday (Dec 13th) with 40 local authors, panels, and readings. Admission is free.
