Late October is when the events really kick off in CV, when the days get shorter and the hours get longer, and the temp finally begins dipping into the chilly high 80s. Lot’s to do this week as the doors open for Halloween and Oktoberfest events up and down Coachella Valley.

Disney’s Cotino community in Rancho Mirage just dropped its first town center tenants ahead of a fall 2026 opening. The waterfront hub—Cotino Bay Beach, Dining & Shops on the north edge of the 24-acre lagoon—will feature the first U.S. outpost of Vancouver favorite Artigiano coffee, a new On the Mark Fine Foods & Provisions (Palm Springs’ artisan sandwich staple), Elevare (a waterfront spot for refined American), and Khaga Yoga with classes for adults and kids. The shops and restaurants will be open to the public; access to Cotino Bay itself will require a fee (pricing TBD). Big picture: Cotino is approved for nearly 2,000 homes (some 55+), with sales starting north of $1M and top-end designs in the upper $4Ms. Expect more tenant announcements soon, plus long-term plans for a resort hotel and added retail.
