We hope you had a great summer. Welcome to the very first installment of the The CV Scene. We’re excited to share the best news and events with our fellow desert neighbors, without all the noise. Times are changing in the Coachella Valley this season as the desert opens back up for business. From new venues, concerts, events and family friendly activities, there is lots to do from Palm Springs to Mecca and everything in between.

Coffee Dose Coming to Palm Springs
Palm Springs’ old KFC on Sunny Dunes and South Palm Canyon is getting a pink, cheeky makeover. Orange County-based Coffee Dose—famous for its “not your grandma’s coffee shop” branding, sassy cups, and playful menu—is moving in with plans to open a brunch club and drive-thru by spring 2026. Expect items like keto plates, gluten-free “bone broth waffles,” and their OC OG everything bagel, all served with a wink. The mid-century-inspired building, vacant since 2023, will soon swap buckets of chicken for high-octane lattes, landing Coffee Dose’s first desert outpost right alongside the new Tahquitz Creek bridge project. If you are local to Costa Mesa, CA, you will be familiar with Coffee Dose. This local coffee shop and Cafe exploded in popularity during Covid due to its cheeky marketing and highly aesthetic decor and merch. And also: CBD Lattes.
