Wildflower Fest Coming to Palm Desert
The Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival returns to Palm Desert for its 19th annual celebration, transforming Civic Center Park into a hub of desert education and environmental stewardship on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., this free community event hosted by Friends of the Desert Mountains offers a deep dive into the region's unique ecosystem with expanded native planting displays, expert horticultural presentations, and a vibrant artisan market. Families can enjoy an interactive Kids’ Zone, a "Naturally Inspired" youth art contest, and performances by the Art Flying Aerial team, who dance above the park in a stunning aerial display. Beyond the flowers, the festival features live music, local food trucks, a beer and wine garden for adults, and a dedicated "Pollinator Power" area to highlight the essential role of desert wildlife. While the festival takes place in Palm Desert, those looking to get active can participate in the Annual Wildflower 5K Fun Run/Walk, which is being held separately this year on March 14th at the La Quinta Cove Trailhead.
